Second Sunday Celebration (SSC) is a NEW monthly gathering where we press pause on Life Groups for Sunday mornings in order to stop and praise God as a family of believers and followers of Christ! We love to worship at The MET and that is no different in the Student Ministry. One additional part of SSC is the opportunity to give God praise verbally- telling stories about HOW God has moved in or around them. This is a perfect stage for Titus Leaders to take the SERVE Initiative and share how they led a group of students to serve and because of that service you/they saw God move in a huge way.

Church ministry led by volunteers that minister to homeless in the downtown Houston area. Great opportunity for getting students involved in serving and worship. Students will see those in need. You will have the opportunity to demonstrate God’s love to others far from God.

Gospel Lakes Ranch Outreach
Approx. 1 hour drive time
Outreach Day Camps:
This rewarding ministry involves Saturdays in the spring and fall, Gospel Lakes Ranch buses in children from the inner-cities of Conroe and Houston. Be a role model to children who desperately need love and leadership.

Open Door Mission for Men
This is a ministry that is downtown near Minute Maid Park that helps men of all types get off of the street, get clean, and most importantly they try to help share the gospel to help give these men a new start in life. Start by collecting items like deoderant, razors, and shampoo to deliver to the mission.

Houston Meals on Wheels
Meals on Wheels is a local inter-faith ministry that provides and delivers meals for home-bound seniors who may not be able to care for themselves properly. In most cases they deliver food and visit for a while. This ministry has a process to for volunteers to register, then get trained before they allow volunteers to deliver meals.

Houston Habitat for Humanity was founded in 1987 and is a Christian-based housing ministry that takes volunteers and builds nice homes with solid foundations. This is a ministry that we love and have cooperated with on many occasions.

That’s right you guys. Thx to Tom Francis, who sent me this interesting email, we can know something that gives us all one more reason to make sure our students are at church on any given Sunday or Wednesday night. According to this research done at University of Iowa students who regularly attend religious services/functions have a higher GPA average and have much less tendency to drop out of high school.
