The Jr. High Camp informational video with Andy is a GREAT idea! It is SO nice viewing this from the “comfort of our own homes” according to our own schedule. Well done and very creative!

What exactly will the students be needing to spend money on at camp so that I can know how much money to send?

I’m new at this….sorry! I had asked 2 questions yesterday and pulled up the blog hoping that someone had answered. My “comments” are gone and no answers are there. I’m probably doing something wrong.

Here are my questions:

What will the campers need to spend money on so I’ll know how much to send?

Can you give me a daily schedule of the campers activities to know how to pack? My daughter is also interested to know!

Thanks!

If parents elect to visit on the 4th of July, may younger siblings attend as well AND what time will the events begin so we do not miss baptism, worship, and other celebrations? Thanks!

How much money should the kids bring with them to camp?

When we sent the younger kids of to Kidz Camp last week all the parents brought “mail” for the kids throughout the week. Have Jr High kids outgrown that -or do we still need to prepare “mail” to send with them?

Sorry for the delayed answers, we are new at this too. Her are the answers to your FAQs:

1. Students could use money for snacks and souvenirs but they really don’t need a lot. Everything at JH camp is already built in.

2. Camp schedule should be posted near this section under a title of JH CAMP SCHEDULE - download it at your convenience

3. For parents joining us on the 4th of July- Friday you and your family should arrive at 6:30pm at Carolina Creek on the Lakeview side (having already eaten dinner). Baptism celebrations will be at the pool at that time. We will then have time together for worship inside and a fireworks show shortly after. Following all of that we will have a late night social at the pool. Parents if you choose to leave with students please let a staff member know before leaving.

4. Parents if you have mail that you would like to send with us to camp please give it to Pastor Andy or Pastor Peyton when you show up to check-in on Tuesday at 7:30pm.

For any additional information please continue to ask away. We will advise as soon as we can. Thank you!

At SLU 101 in Orlando we will be working some so some work clothes that are cool would be ideal. We may be doing anything from painting to sanding to landscaping for the church. It’s all about serving!
